A Research on DAPR¡¯s Effect on College Students' Resilience, Stress, Coping Resources, and Ability
Yoo Kyung-Mi

Abstract
This study investigated the relations of resilience and stress, coping resources and ability shown in "Draw-A-Person-in-the-Rain: DAPR", and examine if there are differences in resilience based on stress indicators and coping ability indicator. Two hundred and one students of colleges located in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheongbuk-do were sampled using cluster sampling and DAPR and resilience measures were conducted. For data analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient was found in order to confirm relations of resilience and stresses, coping resources and ability shown in DAPR, and t-test and "One-way Analysis Of Variance: ANOVA" were conducted to examine the differences of resilience scores according to each indicator of DAPR. In the result of this research, generally, there was no correlation between each lower indicator of DAPR and resilience, and statistical significance, but it showed low correlation. Specifically, the author was able to confirm that resilience's lower element, or empathic ability, was raised if stress level is high, but the level of optimism becomes lower, and if the level of coping ability is high, the level of optimism is raised. In addition, based on some items of DAPR indicator, score differences in each lower indicator of resilience were verified. Based on the research result, I would like to suggest that there is necessity for follow-up research to expand utilization of DAPR through projection research regarding the lower items of DAPR related to resilience, and research regarding correlation among DAPR, optimism and empathy ability variables, and other researches.
